How is it a sustainable design product?
-
Reuse:
Reuse small pieces of soap.
-
Reduce:

-
Recycle:
Soap packaging is made from paper so it is easy to recycle. Product material is Ceramic which can be recycled.
- Year : 2010
- Position : Student
To follow the sustainable design concept, we had to edit some designs from the sketches to reduce certain processes and use local materials to make the real model.
From the Sustainable design competition, our team was chosen to continue the project. We had to go to Doi Thung, Cheang Rai, Thailand with COTO staff and stay there for 2 weeks at the Sustainable design camp. At the camp, they trained us about both theory and activities of sustainable design. Throughout the process of making the product, we learned by encountering problems along the way. This, we found, was much different than the classroom experience.
